Spunknet was founded by Robert Wickenhagen, an aspiring filmmaker with a passion
for communication to the world under the works of data, audio, and visual
communication. Spunknet started as a home computer network and from then grew
into a multi-service organization. With the help of his friends and family,
Robert has achieved many challenging projects. One including a feature length
documentary titled "Back Into the Fire; Mt. St. Helens: A Documentary." Till
this day, Robert thrives to do the best that he can to insure the satisfaction
of his customers, audiences, co-workers, friends and family.
How did Spunknet really become... Spunknet?
During the cold winter month of January 2005, three
college students in a film making class decided to make a documentary on Mt.
St. Helens. Thinking that the project would be 20 minutes in length,
the students (Dave, Nina and Rob) pursued the exciting venture. All of
a sudden, the students started getting support from the United States
Geological Survey, N.A.S.A. and the Geosphere Project. So what was
thought to be 20 minutes long ended up being 47 minutes in length! The
documentary titled Back Into the Fire; Mt. St. Helens: A Documentary
was premiered in the Spokane Community College auditorium on March 18, 2005.
The students got nothing but positive reviews. Mainly that the documentary
was far better than most student projects. From this positive outcry,
Spunknet was born to the public and now more
projects are being created under the proud name of Spunknet Productions.
By the way, the students got a 4.0 grade point average in the class.
